A quick follow-up from today’s post, but Friday’s Zoom chat is going to be a special one! I’m going to be joined by my good friend Pete Dominick who, when he is not building sheds in his backyard, tells jokes to audiences, who occasionally laugh.
I kid of course. Pete is one of the funniest people I know. I’ve been honored to be on his podcast numerous times — and before that on his Sirius XM radio show. I’ve been trying to get him to join me on a Zoom chat for a while and I figured this week — in the wake of the infamous Oscar slap — was a great opportunity to have him on.
We’re going to talk about the “slap” of course, but also delve into the question of whether comedy can go too far? Is there a line you can’t cross? And what’s the best response to jokes that offend?
This should make for a great conversation so please join us at 12:30 on Friday. The link is here.
I love Pete Dominick! I have been on his show--say hi from me, Michael
