A quick reminder that I’ll be hosting a Zoom chat this afternoon at 12:30. I’ll be joined today by a special guest: political pollster and Truth and Consequences contributor Jeremy Rosner. We will discuss the latest doings in American politics, including the complicated politics of an apparent congressional agreement on infrastructure spending, the fate of Joe Biden’s legislative agenda, what recent polls show about Congress and the president’s popularity, and anything else that comes up. If you have questions or topics you want us to address, please reference them in the comments section below.
These Zoom chats are usually for paid subscribers only, but since I’ve been on a bit of a limited publishing schedule the past two weeks, I’m going to open things up to all subscribers. So the more, the merrier! I hope you can join us at 12:30 today for what should be a great discussion.
The link for today’s chat is here.
If I recall correctly, the Biden administration earlier rejected using yet-unspent Covid relief money for infrastructure as it had already been "designated elsewhere". Now, it seems, that money is the biggest part of the "compromise". A bit of disingenuousness...at the least?
Fascinated by your report on the NYC vote that the LEFTIE votes came from the richest, not the workers or poor. Further thoughts?
