Today's Truth and Consequences Zoom Chat with Matt Duss
I’m Michael A. Cohen, and this is Truth and Consequences: A no-holds-barred look at the absurdities, hypocrisies, and surreality of American politics. If you received this email - or you are a free subscriber - and you’d like to subscribe: you can sign up here.

Just a quick reminder about today’s Zoom Chat with Matt Duss, foreign policy advisor for Sen. Bernie Sanders and music aficionado. We’re going to be talking, briefly, about the Middle East and then spending the rest of the time talking about “Get Back,” the extraordinary new Beatles documentary playing on Disney TV. It’s been kind of a long week/month/year, so I think we could all use a few hours off from politics!
Matt, though he maintains bewildering fealty to the Beach Boys’ “Pet Sounds” and the bloated guitar pretensions of Eddie Van Halen, has been known to, on occasion, express an intelligent perspective on rock music, so I expect this to be a really enjoyable conversation! I kid, of course. Matt is a mensch, and there are few people in the world I enjoy talking about music more than him.
Of course, as always, if you have any questions or topics you want us to address, please leave them in the comments section below.
The link to the chat is here, and we’ll be kicking things off at 12:30 PM. (For regular subscribers, the link I sent yesterday had the wrong date on it, so be sure to use this one). Zoom chats are always available to all, but I will only send out the audio of our conversation to paid subscribers.
Please join us in a few hours for what should be a great time!
