Today's Truth and Consequences Zoom Chat with Ben Burrell
So just a quick reminder that I’ll be Zoom Chatting today at 12:30 with Ben Burrell, host of the Bob Dylan: Album by Album podcast, as we talk all things, Bob Dylan. I’ll stick around at the end to answer your questions about politics or anything else on your mind, so join us today. For those of you who can’t make it today, I’ll send around the audio so you can catch up on the conversation. The link is here, and I’ll see you in a bit!
What’s Going On
Since I didn’t have a chance to post yesterday, here are a few stories worth catching up on.
The story of a man who survived 15 hours after falling off a cruise ship is remarkable.
Herschel Walker is not finishing strong in the Georgia Senate race.
This Hadley Freeman column is from October, but it’s one of the smartest things I’ve read on Kanye West and the clear evidence that he is profoundly mentally ill. Kanye has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, and there’s little doubt in my mind that the anti-Semitic rantings we’re seeing from him right now are directly connected to his mental illness. Yesterday West went on Alex Jones’s show, wearing a full mask over his head, repeatedly praising Hitler and the Nazis while declaring that he loves the Jewish people. This is not a healthy person. He needs help.
An incredible story from the Washington Post on the toll drugs took on one group of friends in North Carolina.
Isaac Chotiner interviewed Morton Klein, head of the Zionist Organization of America … it didn’t go well for Klein.
Since we’re talking about Dylan, these imitations by SNL’s James Austin Johnson are amazing.
