What isn't shown these days is that after "the catch" (why Willie falls down) is that he planted one foot, wheeled and threw a "strike" to the catcher that "cut down" the Indian runner trying to score from 3rd. That throw was probably somewhere in the vicinity of 400 feet. That's a memorable feat (no pun intended) in itself.
