I liked your article thanking the vaccine for this thanksgiving, but why don’t you thank THE PEOPLE WHO CREATED IT?! You have them Zero Credit. Why? Is it because Donald Trump created operation Warp Speed? You are welcome, Michael A. Cohen, for the Trump Vaccine That Saved The World!!

Okay. I am a liberal, but I am getting closer to being progressive (further left) as Biden continues to act like it's 1986 and not 2021 and he won't get jack shit from Mitch. And don't even get me started on Manchin. But I take these shootings as one event, each having its own circumstances and quirks. There is reliable evidence that Zimmerman was getting his head repeatedly pounded into the sidewalk by Trayvon. Okay, Zimmerman set up the situation, but what was he supposed to do? Tell Trayvon, "Thank you for killing me. I started this so I should die"? That is open-and-shut self defense. If you hit someone's head into the cement once, then sit on him or gut punch him, he's done. You don't try to cave his skull in, and the way the knee-jerk liberals made a folk hero out of Trayvon is just plain tribal non-thinking herd behavior.

"It’s the sole reason why what happened that August night turned deadly."

"The presence of a gun — introduced, if you will, in the first act — is what led to tragedy."

...really, lol? So everything leading up to that - including the immediate assumption by the "protestors" - titans of intellect all, to be sure - that the shooting was unjustified, the mainstream media's incendiary rhetoric and grossly irresponsible, inflammatory coverage employed in pursuit of a political agenda, the burning and pillaging of an entire community in the name of "social justice," the lionization (i.e. - Kamala Harris raising money to bail them out of jail) of rioters who were arrested at previous "protests," and people trying to attack someone for attempting to put out a fire - was just immaterial? The fixation on the assault rifle is risible.

I agree with most everything you say, however, you use the phrase I hear a lot in the media “accidental discharge” of a weapon. I maintain there is no such thing, there is only negligence when it comes to any firearm discharging unintentionally. We need to completely do away with that phrase. A child picks up a gun and kills someone? The owner of that gun is negligent and should be charged. This goes on down the line with any “accidental” shooting. Someone must be charged with negligence and held responsible to set an example for gun owners.

And yes, the Cronkite clip gets me every time
