Thank you. The irrational panic is driving me crazy.

We had a great run. Maybe the best ever.

One thing that is interesting. Trump now has the incumbent position and Biden is the underdog chalkenger

We are electing a Vision of America and a team. Candidates don’t matter as much in this moment. But Biden is the only candidate Trump struggles to put into a box. He is too well established. He tries but doesn’t succeed. Trump is afraid of Biden.

Media likes horse races and reality TV because it gives them something to do. Don’t buy into it

I agree 100% with you! Move on! I was more upset with the Supreme Court than with the debate. Without protections set down by the government, we are left with no safety rails to protect our families. And if trump gets elected....

"There is no Plan B here. The Democratic nominee will be Joe Biden or Kamala Harris. That’s it. Deal with it."

That seems like it's right. I was glad to see Biden strong at the rally today. But...

"Here’s the thing: Joe Biden will not drop out of the presidential race because of a lousy debate performance."

The argument is not a lousy performance, though that's a problem, it's what a lousy performance reveals about the effects of age for a man I'd hope to be President for roughly four and a half more years. I don't know where last night fell on the normal curve of Biden performances, I believe he had an unusually bad night and got unlucky with the timing of a cold. But it still says something about is general spectrum of performance and it's a perfectly reasonable basis for saying that the oldest major party nominee in national history should step aside in favor of his Vice President.

I think President Biden is an honorable and loyal Democrat and American, prone to pride as we all are. If it makes sense for Harris to be the nominee at this point, then it's a case one should make in public because that's how mass politics works. I think there's a stronger argument that it's Biden or Harris and so drop the talk of an open convention. So I think "It's Harris or STFU" is a perfectly supportable position.

1. Republicans DID throw Trump under the bus at times and many ex-Trump staffers have came out against him. Some before even the last election. It’s unsurprising some Democrats expressed their frustration with Biden.

2. Biden, via his campaign, WANTED this debate. He’s losing! He was losing bride this debate and he’ll be losing by more after! This was a disastrous performance by the President!

3. Sure you could argue “Biden won’t drop out” and he probably won’t but at this point u can’t defend him. He spent a week prepping for this debate and flopped worse than any major nominee in any debate to this point. Maybe it was a bad day, but at this point it doesn’t matter. Perception is reality.

I still support Joe since he hasn’t left yet. But he should, and I’d take Kamala over him. That’s how bad he was: I’m prepared to take her over Biden at this juncture.

I didn't watch the debate — I was on my way home from a gorgeous say in the Lake Erie Islands — but the screeching panic is making me crazy, and this morning, most of the headlines weren't about Joe Biden "losing" the debate (it sounds like the entire debate was a loser and lost on both sides) but about Democrats panicking! I haven't heard of a single Republican panicking because Trump rarely told the truth and when he did, he supported something wildly unpopular like overturning Roe. It reminds me how many times I've heard that Trump has a high floor and low ceiling. Literally nothing he does can drive away his base. If he had had Biden's performance not one of them would've cared and THAT would've been the media's "takeaway" (god, I hate that word!) So the only way he wins is if Democrats get discouraged, and boy, do they discourage easily! If Trump wins, it'll be the fault of all those nervous nellies and naysayers. I do hope people really think about what's at stake.

Also, blame must be cast toward CNN for not hosting any reasonable facsimile of a debate and at bare minimum, cutting off anyone who didn't address the question. I think it's telling that after years and years of calling CNN (among others) "fake news," this morning in an email Trump praised CNN. Hmmmmmm ...
