I need to make one more comment. Trump's racism, narcissism, cruelty, shallowness, and so on all were on display last night, but to me the most chilling was his reference to the brave men and women who defended the Capitol on January 6 as "the other side." I'm still trying to process that.
Harris won, without question. But...I don't think Harris did a great job defining herself. She ignored answering questions that should have been layups. Trump asked her if she supported abortion during the "9th, 8th and 7th months" which should have been an easy: NO. She laughed it off, which is fine I guess, but you should never miss an opportunity to define yourself as moderate. I also disagree on her answer on race. She should have thrown this back on Trump: "yes, I'm Black" making it clear that Trump is being racist, and then just pivoted to some other topic. Harris has wisely avoided talking about her identity: but this was one minor exception where she could, by saying little, have emphasized Trump's own failings while also answering basically any question she wanted.
Overall, I felt she did a good job pivoting the election towards Trump but a poor job moderating her image. Biden won in 2020 in part because everyone knew Biden wasn't the Leftist Trump painted him as: Harris lacks that benefit.
My favorite line from the debate was stated of course by Kamala Harris: "Putin will eat you for lunch!"
My favorite internet comment is this:
Breaking news. Daughter of Jamaican and Indian immigrants eats orangutan for dinner tonight on live television.
I think that Harris being a former prosecutor added an extra helping of "whup ass" to the debate. She kept her cool very well.
I agree. Her background as a prosecutor was evident in the way she constructed some of her answers

Dead Flowers: great song, bad recording, but bless Mick, he was heroin chic before it was chic.
The most biased debate moderators I’ve ever seen. No fact checking whatsoever for Harris. If you like cheaters you loved this debate.
Lying thief and a sellout is what you are. You stole money and continually lie. Youre a disgrace. And a weazle. Your wife thinks you are a loser.
