That the Democrats could not pick up seats in the '20 election, both at the congressional and state leg level, shows an institutional disconnect with the public at large. The '22 election would be a massacre if it were held today in favor of R's. Look at the special election in Texas results to see how little enthusiasm there is for the Democratic candidates today, except in the walled and censored gardens of small parts of the internet. Biden won, but they are being trolled by Trump to focus, like sore losers, on lame slogans like Big Lie that they repeat to each other in an echo chamber.
